With every piece of art I create, I hope to give my viewers the experience of stepping into somewhat of a storybook.

As a child, two things that influenced my artistic direction were illustrated children’s books and the beauty and curiosity of nature. When thinking of pieces of art most memorable to me they are often images from books like Toot and Puddle or Eloise. My life experiences of travel, adventures in nature, and experience as a floral designer also affect my artwork. Though I currently live in Hawaii, my mind is often pulled to scenes of familiar Ohio forests, European towns framed by the Alps, and memories of picking sweet smelling peonies sprinkled with ants. I studied studio art in college where my focus was in painting and printmaking. It was there that I discovered my love for watercolor. I work primarily in watercolor and ink pen, but love to turn my artwork into plush animals, clothing and home décor. I take great joy in the idea of creating a unique experience for my viewers and customers that brings a bit of whimsicality into their everyday lives.
